Dr. Phanindar Sadhu, MD is a board-certified internal medicine physician with a distinguished background that includes both clinical excellence and military service. With medical training from Gandhi Medical College and subsequent residency at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine’s James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Dr. Sadhu has cultivated a diverse portfolio in internal medicine, hospitalist roles, and academic instruction. His experience spans large multi-specialty hospitals where he has managed patients with a wide array of medical conditions across telemetry, stroke, and cardiac care units, while also mentoring future clinicians through residency programs. Dr Sadhu is a longtime resident of Loudoun County, and has raised his family there.

A former U.S. Army Health Care Specialist and Combat Medic, Dr. Sadhu served from 2010 to 2014, including a year-long deployment to Kandahar, Afghanistan. During this time, he provided trauma and emergency care in Role II and III aid stations—comparable to Level II and I trauma centers—executing critical procedures such as cricothyroidotomy, thoracocentesis, and hemorrhage control under battlefield conditions. He supported convoys, addressed combat-related mental health conditions, and demonstrated leadership, resilience, and clinical acumen in high-pressure environments. This formative experience has profoundly shaped his ability to deliver compassionate and decisive care to patients in Prima Medicine.

Dr Sadhu is now accepting patients at the South Riding and Fairfax Locations.
